I found an old Steve Muck RC Boats Pitch Gauge. Anyone know how to use the dang thing?

This particular gauge has a 3/16" post for the prop and two pins that contact the back surface of the prop. I can measure the difference between the two pins, but then what do I do with this measurement? The is nothing on the gauge to measure degrees...??? There must be some "calibration" to convert this differential measurement to pitch.Originally posted by andym View PostHave not seen this gauge but all pitch gauges measure distance and angle on a specific area of the face of the blade. be it the whole blade or a section you wish to change. Pitch = Dist x Deg.
Hope this helps.I let the dogs out...

I really do not know with this one, mine measures both and came with a handy pitch chart so I do not need the calculator. May be a pic of it and some one like Brian can help. I have only seen ones that measure on the face of the blade

I was able to contact Steve directly and he walked me through the measurement over the phone.Originally posted by andym View PostI really do not know with this one, mine measures both and came with a handy pitch chart so I do not need the calculator.
