i saw the miss gieco boat running today off of palm beach island i was doing some electrical work on the pent house of the breakers so i had a good view. there was 2 choppers following it and was a little rough so it was catching alot of air, there was a second miss geico boat about half hour later running alot slower, my brother in law said he heard they were doing some testing

They were doing a speed run from miami to west palm, they went out and had to drop off the owner (Haggin) after it got to rough and hurt his back. They restarted in miami, ran 78 miles in 45 minutes 59 seconds. Not what they were hoping for time wise, so they plan on trying again in the summer.

They also had one of the guys from Deadliest catch onboard, and it should be on discovery channel some time in the future.

That's interesting I saw a Gieco commercial today with the Gieco catamaran in it. That thing is cool.

Or I wonder if my current employer wouldn't mind me working entirely via email and network? hmm.... I dont need physical files

most of the guys on the geico team are pretty cool. The driver is a bit of a tool, but the rest are pretty good guys. I have some video somewhere of Geico coming buy on the start of the clearwater race running just over 200 mph.

So are these Geico type boats faster than the H1's? Would they beat an H1 around the standard H1 race course?

Unlimiteds are considered U1 aren't they?

As far as your question, its going to depend on the water conditions and the course. No the Geico boat is not going to beat the U1 on its course, but a U1 won't touch Geico on its course either. I don't see any U1 staying together in the typical 3-5 foot seas the guys might see.
