The part of flex in the shaft is squared and the shaft can' t move in the strut, only 1mm

Where did you find this square drive ferrell? I've only seen the square drive nut at the motor before..

I havent seen a square drive nut.

The strut in the picture is part of the stuff coming out of Asia these days,

This is a HOTR aluminum rudder and strut with a Graupner 3/16" adapter
