    Mhz Nomad XL

Well, I had some extra cash come about that I did not know was coming and I spent it! :D And of course I have to make a thread about it and share it to the world!

    It's a Nomad XL 42" hull
    3000watt Aveox Motor
    Hitech 645 Servo
    x450 Prop
    8s1p 16C 6600Mah Lipo Cells.
    OEMRC HV 100Amp ESC
2850Mah Lipo Rx Pack with Voltage Reducer

Fully setup, Just add my Rx and have fun! Now thats FE Boating! Owner tells me it does 40's easy on 8s lipo, and 50's+ on 10s lipo. I sure hope so. Barley used and in like new condition!

    Whatcha think? I can't wait!!!!

Good call Tom but it looks as if that's permanent.

Ran it today! My ride was cut short by a wet RX. I need to put it in a bag lol oops....

Anyway, ran with a x457 prop detounged and worked over, 8s lipo. The boat was haulin ass! Speed was in the 40's by my eye. I almost cannot believe this motor turns over a x457, thats over-driven 1:1.25.

I need to water proof it some more. There is no teflon liner, only brass, so I think the stuffing tube is letting some water in. It's not horrible, but to much for me, I like a dry boat.

I flipped it when the RX got wet. I had it turning at low speeds, and the RX just went full left. I had not ajusted the dual rate so the boat had way to much steering. She went right over. Bahhhhh....Balloon time tomorrow!

One thing I can notice already, is the width. I had a AC Blast Cat 40. About the same length as this, but WIDER. Much wider. About 4-5 inches I believe. At anyrate I love the boat so far, but man I can tell the wider cats handle better.

are the wider ones slower but handle better than the slimmer cats?

I'll get some better pics here in a bit....

O yeah, and Doug. You have an eagle eye. The boats motor and gear box mount are mis-aligned some. It's not bad, but I can see it. I'm gonna run it like this for the rest of the summer, this winter i'll fix it. The rest of the boat is very nice, that must have been a mistake by someone. The rest is just to nice for someone to do a shoddy job on the motor mount.

Just showing off some gear that came with the package. The two 15 cell IB3800 packs where mine already. They need bullitts and are ready to be beaten on! I have not run it yet, but I like the idea of a lipo Rx pack

For those who don't know, 12c on these packs is 79.2 amps. The burst of 18c would be 118.8. Seems good enough to me for this setup figuring I have a 100amps ESC, and the motor is a 50/100 amp job. :)
