i was hoping that someone would be able to give me some advice on the most inexspensive way to build a 60+ mph boat. I currently have a rigger with a fiego xl running on 4s but i want to make a faster one for the least amount of money i can. I was thinking either a nother rigger or a catameran. any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Buy as much as you can used from the swap shop. I have an H&M XS2 that came with the hardware/servo/wire drive installed - $100, Turnigy100 amp esc water cooling added - $30, Feigao 8XL w/ cooling jacket - $55, and for new stuff $40 - $45 for prop, water tubing, thrust bearing, motor mount, and connectors. Batteries and RX not included because they can be used in more than 1 boat. Total cost $230 and it does over 60 MPH.
Edit: it is the boat in my avatar,
Edit # 2: I didn't mean to confuse anyone but the boat is not for sale - I just used it as an example.Last edited by egneg; 12-02-2009, 02:55 PM.IMPBA 20481S D-12

How fast does it go at present ?
Which XL motor do you have ?
What is your prop ?
What is your ESC ?
What pack(s) are you running ??
Show us your existing hull and answer all of the above questions and I am sure that we can help you hit 60+
I have a hand built wooden rigger that runs a Turnigy 6XL with a Mystery 200A (uncooled) from a Rhino 4S 4900 to a worked 642 prop.
This thing is flirting with and blowing kisses at 70mph.
See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood
