Right now my boat has .120" flex cables and Im getting the feeling that they will not be enough to handle big power. I was curious, if a .078" piano wire would suffice to say 6S with a 442 prop? I want to try an avoid ripping the stuffing tubes out to accommodate a larger flex shaft and was wondering if this would be a good option?

You should be fine as long as there is not a lot of bend. I am running a 36 in. sport hydro on 6s spinning a 445 prop no issues as of yet.Originally posted by NitroVal View PostRight now my boat has .120" flex cables and Im getting the feeling that they will not be enough to handle big power.
