Warming Lipo's for running in cool weather

Has anyone ever tried using a heating pad to warm lipos such as the one in the picture? I usually have a 120 power source at the pond and I was thinking about laying one of these on my pit table and folding the lipos in it before a race.

So whats the Desired Temp we should aim to get them to?
The only temp ive read someone say they got theres to was 125 F = 51.6 C (my language)
Is this about where you want them?

Trini I use two of them.
I lay the cells on one pad and cover them up with the other.
I use the pads when the cell temp is below 70 degrees or so, and then just heat them to 80-90'F. The medium setting seems to be enough to get the job done (inside the trailer).
Consider getting the pads with the automatic shut off.

70 degrees is when I start heating my cells. We have been known to run in temps WAY DOWN IN THE 30s, with a little wind!!!!!!!! But of course on those days I'll fire up the gas heater so we can take a break from the bitter cold.
Yep, we are die hard racers in Atl.!!

That is too funny, mind you the wimps on the west coast of Canada get all upset at a few snowflakes. The first snowfall is fun to watch as the carnage on the roads develop. I do not drive on that first day of snow. I bet a few Texans are thinking what the hell is a parka, a t shirt on steroids?

It's okay Sir Doby........I feel your pain. We can run ALL WINTER and not have to worry about the water in our pond freezing. Go ahead let it out...it helps!

When I was growing up in Lapeer Michigan I often wondered why all the trees leaned to the north. When I got a little older, I realized that it's because Canada sucks!!!!!

The kids had me take them to the local Target (pronounced Tarje' if your French Canadian) this evening. I noticed they were starting to put the Christmas stuff out and with it some inexpensive gifts on the ends of the aisles. As I strolled past the automotive section something caught my eye. After giving up an unsuccessful search of every store within 20 miles of my house, I stumble across a thermoelectric cooler. Even better, it was only $25. I had to grab it and gave it a test run on the way home. It appears to works beautifully. Nice and compact (6 liter) yet you could probably squeeze 8, 4S packs in her. There in no brand name on the box, but the sticker on the unit says Superex. A safety and preparedness Company based out of Canada. So if you are in the market, check out your local Target. Hopefully they will have them in stock.

BTW- I did purchase a 12 volt electric blanket. I tested it, folded up in my truck with temps in the upper 50's. After about 45 munutes the temps in the inside folds did get close to 100 degrees. It's performace was adequate, but I think I prefer the thermoelectric cooler. It gets hoter faster. is more compact and would probably not need to be plugged in constantly like the blanket would. Plus it only burns about 4 amps.

The enclosed picture is very close to but not the exact product I purchased.
