Yes Alain, If you have the money, the Tenshock is a very good choice. Look at the 2240 or the recently introduced 2250 series. 6 magnet poles and iron in the stator, not bare compressed windings.
I was looking at this motor for a long time, and if I had the money, I'd go for these, but I don't have it so it's out of question for me. On the other hand I gathered more info on these and I only read good things about them on the German forums. They say it has insane torque. The 2240 is rated for 2.2kW, I'd like to see that. :-/

Sure, Tenshock motors looks to be a very good choise.
In my case I want to built a cheap offshore with good performances, thatt' s why I choose a KEda / Xpower motor. Ha ve a look to details:
" This cat is a cheap project, only for fun I really think this offshore will be fast and fun
Hull + rudder and strut + motor + water colling jacket + aluminium motor mount + ESC 200A HiModel
This is the price for HM Agitator hull alone with shipping cost "

Well, most of us want a cheap setup that gives good performance, me the first, but if you go for a very cheap bottom end motor, chances are that the "good performance" will turn in "acceptable result for the money"
The hull is not an Agitator so you'll need to reinforce and it will be heavier, the drive line is "God knows what", motor is 50/50 according to some guys that are happy and some that will never ever use them again, and if on top of this you go for very cheap Lipo's, you may achieve what you are looking for but for how long?
Honestly I wish you to be successfull.

I don't know who wrote this so I can't give him the credit. So not my words but I totally
with it:

i think you can build a reliable fairly fast boat for fairly cheap
you just have to choose parts carefully and know there limits

hi guys,
I've been using KB45 1400kv and 1600kv, 6s on my triton, both d-magnetize and both kill my etti 150A esc's
Here I suggest some motors that I've search over the internet and seem to be a an affordable quality motors.
The first one is from germany, its not lehner or plettenberg or hacker, its Bk Wanderer, which has similar design such as feigao but with UHT magnet and precision balance rotor. here is the link http://translate.google.com/translat...Den%26hs%3DrZM
The second one would be from China, this motor seem to be good quality and they even provide warranty for it and the end bell seem to be ventilated.
I haven't bought any of these motors, but they seem to be a good motor compare to KD and KB45Stiletto tunnel,EPV135 (53") twin cat, CT06"Spirit of Qatar", FD 47" mono, Twin Mini Cat 23.5"

Those BK Electronics motors are KEDA motors , very strange, no ??

I don't think so, KEDA motor are all a copy of hacker and wanderer, KEDA use low quality stuffs that why its so cheap and have heat issue. wanderer uses UHT - Ultra High Temperature magnet and well-balance rotor and high quality bearings too, thats a big different to KEDA motorOriginally posted by Alfa Spirit View PostThat' s so funny

It seems to go around and around. BK says various motor manufacturers on their site.
Feigo seems to be the only one that actually does their own.
We have seen crap re-stamped and packaged for some time.
So why not the turnigy if you want to compare? These seem to be all the same. Hobbycity said the were not selling feigo anymore because of quality issues...well I think it is because they got their dealership contract yanked because of all the other dealers bitching about them undercutting prices.
Wonder who makes the ammo motors?

Who makes the ammo Jeff?!
Mel279, the motor on your second link looks like the ones sold as RAY motors in Europe. Pelikan in the Czech Republic carries these RAY motors. They are very good quality (Chinese?!) motors, not cheap at all. Wonder who makes those?!

Its a chinese motor actually, I have the catalogue price of the motors if u want I can email it to you. I've ask them regarding the max. temp of that motor, and they told it is 120, but they don't indicate wether it is F or C. Anyway how much did it sale at Europe?Stiletto tunnel,EPV135 (53") twin cat, CT06"Spirit of Qatar", FD 47" mono, Twin Mini Cat 23.5"

I assume the ammo motors are Chinese as well but specs given from U.S. so they seem to be a better motor.
