Having .19mm runout on a collar attached to your flex seems like a good way to ensure that it will break, now your just gambling which side of the collar it fails.
there have to be something that just fits and dont create the exstra vibration so it breake.
have atleast learnt that next time i wont build with a stinger but go for a strutt\ferule instead. then the flex can breake but the prop and shaft is still there.
becose i lost the flex and everything with it.
first time it came out of the collet ( sinse i forgot to solder the tip of the flex i suspect) and yesterday it did the same for some reason. collet is new. flex was solderd. was room for the flex to compress when running. only perk is that this happend a few feet from land so i wil to get the prop and flex back with a little luck
If you wanna do THAT, use a wire AND a tube connected together.
A tube alone isn't strong enough in case of breaking a shaft/flex.
It would bent backwards and oops, prop/shaft are gone :-)
And : a coolingtube at the centre of the prop : where no water is.......
