What are the advantages/disadvantages to each?

inrunner spins the rotor where the outrunner spins the case
outrunner has more torque where inrunner has more RPM (might not be true anymore)
outrunner is more efficient (may also be outdated), ,high end inrunners have equal if not higher efficiency
