A big thank you to the Title Sponsor of the 2009 NAMBA Nats-Steve at OSE!
The MMEU gang put on another terrific event at one of the best race sites I've ever seen. There is far too much work to do to put on a successful event and they handled it very well.
The racing was terrific. The drivers were courteous to other boats on the water, allowing the lead boat to pass safely, drivers calling infractions on themselves, etc, etc. Minimal carnage, too. Some, but minimal. Many racers camped right on the beach in travel trailers/tents. It's a nice dynamic to an already fun weekend.
A special thank you goes out to the Colorado gang showing up! I hope they have some time soon to share their experiences (and everyone else for that matter). Those guys love this hobby and appeared to have a complete blast at this event.
Their 10th scales were something to see and I believe it was Rod Santana's boat that took home the Concours win for the event.
Other out-of-town attendies included Mike Martin and Ken Haines from Florida, Randy Naylor and Wilmer Oxidean from N. Cal, Doug Peterson and Jeff Cirves from Wisconsin, Dougie Twaits, Eddie Hansen and Mike Pags from New York/Pa, Steve Reesor and Larry Jacques from Canada, and Alan Nayman and Howard Tucker from Ohio,
Congratulations to Team Rumrunner for taking home the Michigan Cup (Dougie Twaits, Mike Pags and Mike Martin), and Dougie also took home Individual High Points with an astounding ass pounding in dang near every class he entered. He made 1 driver error in what probably totaled over 250 laps raced over 4 days and delivered a combination of speed, setup and driving that just had to be seen to be believed.
Thanks again, MMEU for hosting a terrific event! I hope I didn't forget anybody above or missed details...let me know if I did.

My hat goes off to MMEU for the FANTASTIC job they had done Hosting and putting on the FE Nats and Michigan Cup X, We had a BLAST , it was well worth the drive from Southern Colorado to Michigan, What a great time. Its nice to put the face with a name, And many of those names will be unforgetable for talents and personalities both off and on the water, I would like to thank OSE and all of the sponsors who made it happen. I am truley honored by the selection of my "Tahoe Miss" as concourse winner. Again thank you to the MMEU crew and everybody who particpated in the event. It made for a great end to summer.
