What type of hull would this be?

In my search to find a picture of a Catamaran equipped with an outboard (SJFE) I stumbled on to this image.



I think it's pretty cool. What type of hull would you say it is?

I think that could be considered on outrigger.

That would be my guess too, but the sponsons should be fwd. these are aft.

The boat in Question was designed for an around the world race

“The Earthrace” its hull is designed to go through waves instead of over them with its “wave piercing hull Design”

I started to make a rc model of it but did not get round to adding the outriggers and at the time did not have drive hardware to finish it.
