1st figure out how long the leads need to be and cut them.
Take 1 lead from a pair and strip about 1/2" of insulation off of it about 1.5" back from the end. Lay the 2nd lead of the pair beside it and cut and strip it so that you can solder it to the exposed wire of the first lead. You can use a few strands of wire to bind them together and then solder them up. Do all five pairs the same way, put your heat shrink on the splices and add the connectors of your choice.
If you have a hammerhead tip I would use it. You want to make sure those connections are good.
There are other ways to do it, but this one has served us well.
A little tip..... If you tin the wire on the end before you strip it, it won't fray when you do.

Went out w/GPS and smoked 14- IB4200's after just 2 laps. Looked like a barbeque grill !!! And only 30.2 MPH !!! Motor was 101F, ESC was 95F and packs were 130ish. Put the 12-DTX 4200's in and ran 34.4 MPH. Motor was 103F, ESC was 98F and packs were around 110F and that was after about 8 laps. I was using a 42mm CF prop because I was trying out the Hydra240 and the 14 cells for the first time. And for the record, the Shockwave 26 EP RS was 10.1 MPH on 6 cells and 13.3 on 7 cells.
