I havent sprayed a boat w/ Krylon since probably '94. The last one I sprayed just didnt do it for me and since then Ive used a professional automotive paint. That being said, I havent shot a boat in over 15 years w/ paint costing less than $130. (multiple colors). Im re-painting my BJ26 and cant spend that kind of $$ right now, plus the left over would be too much, being that I can usually only buy it as small as a 3/4 qt. So I went w/ Krylon. Iv got the primer finished and my first color, but not without problems. Ive fixed it now and my question is
How long do you have to wait to tape?
With the paint I usually use, You can often tape w/ in 15 minutes. And like the Krylon, within an hour for re-coat, otherwise 24 hrs. Who knows what?

I can paint, with major detail, a 60 inch boat in a half a day (not including the prep up to final primer). Ive got 11 hours in painting a 26" hull, (sides and deck), 2 colors and Im not half done yet. NEVER AGAIN!!! Goes to show with paint as well, you get what you pay for. 100 bux for paint is no longer a problem or a question for me at all. God bless all of you who have had luck with this paint. Im sure clear coating will go well...
