    Servo hums in blackjack 29

    Hi

I have now for the first time powered up my sons blackjack 29 and I noticed the original servo makes a lot of noise.
It seems the servo has problem to reach the very last bit of the selected position, it looks as if it just vibrates and makes noise, it does this for about 2-3 seconds before it get silent.

I hope you understand what I try to explain :-)

    Is this normal?

    Regards Johan

Digital servos do make a lot of noise-- that part is normal. Not sure about the other part about having a hard dtime reaching the last bit of the selected position?? There might be some binding in the rudder throw-- to check the servo itself take off the servo horn and see if it is moving through its range correctly.

      Hi

It is quick to get to a selected possition, but when its there its hums for 2-3 seconds. If I help it by pressing lightly with my finger the hum stops directly, hence this explanation.

I will try later today to see if something is binding.

      /Johan

That's normal for digital servos. I have high end digital servos on my heli and they make a racket. After a while they quiet down but will resume buzzing when I move 'em.
