Had same dynamite 3674 1900kv motor with dynamite 160a esc in my impulse and did fine with 5200 4s x2 120c with out issues with 45mm prop then dropped it all in recoil 26 and power cuts like a bitch. Is the motor too small ? I did upgrade to 3300 x2 4s 150c packs didn't know which would cause it motor or power to esc
Power cuts

Sounds like the packs weren't an upgrade, but a downgrade. Even if the pack specs are to believed, which they certainly shouldn't, you had batteries "capable" of supplying 624A, and your new packs are "capable" of only 495A. That was a downgrade.
And I know you're thinking, the ESC won't pull more than 160A so what's it matter? It matters, because the battery specs are all lies. You're hitting a low-voltage cutoff because your batteries can't support the load at normal voltage most likely.

Yep, you made things worse by going to smaller capacity packs. As stated, the C ratings are marketing nonsense. The best packs in the world are a real 30-40C, so let's assume both of your packs are 35C to be generous.
Your original packs were 5200, so that 35 X 5.2A = 182 amps max they can provide. Your new packs are much smaller, so now you have 3.3A x 35 = 116 amps max, so you drastically reduced the batteries capability to handle the load, so the voltage is sagging under load and shutting down the ESC
And the numbers in reality are likely much worse than that, as you would need to be using SMC packs to even get 35C. SMC packs have been load tested in a very controlled fashion vs other brands for years, and known to be one if not the best capable pack brands in existence today, and they top out in the 40C range.
Anything higher, and the wires on the batts themselves wouldn't even be able to handle the current, so these 100+ C ratings are a joke. Even SMC puts bogus numbers on the label because people not knowing any better will shop using those fake numbers as reality just like you did, and they wouldn't sell at all if they placed the real value on them despite actually being the best packs you can buy.
Most basic/budget internet packs are really in the 10-20C range if that when load tested, so the voltage will sag badly under the high current demands of an RC boatLast edited by Xrayted; 03-03-2025, 03:28 PM.

reprogram ESC for lower or no low voltage cutoff. Factory default is always very conservative.

I'm starting to wonder if the OP is real and if this is just a waste of time? Its a brand new one post account, and the OP hasn't even logged in since asking the question. Possibly just another fake scam/spam account trying to look legit as there are a lot of those on this siteLast edited by Xrayted; 03-07-2025, 07:08 AM.

I have also a problem with power cut ,it's a german cat like a genesis 900 motor leo 4092 1390kv on 8s and a ztw 200 v2 cnhl G+ 5000 and racing 90c 5200 batt all are new first run with tfl 5019(pitch is 1.25)a lot of power cuts .i chanced the leo for a TP4060 1650kv that is the only change and no power cuts anymore ,are big leopards amp hoggs it's looks like or ztw and leopard is a bad choice?
