Can someone explain explain KV and prop combos?

I some what understand what KV means. It is the revolutions per 1 applied volt. But how does different props and motor kv have different effects? Also what are the different effects on the ESC?

It all has to do with the load and efficiency of the hull. A given power plant will rev higher in a cat than in a mono (given everything is setup well). Much like a gas motor an electric can lose rpm due to to high of gearing or prop(a prop is a boats gears). Too much load will hear up the ESC as well as it struggles to give the motor power which it demands.
