    Most of us use what we have laying around, since your not normally running that boat for speed or long periods most anything will do. I myself use the electronics out of my Shockwave being a 2000kv motor and a 30amp ESC with a 7cell 8.4V nimh 5000mah. No water cooling on it and no overheating. Best of luck

      I've got an old Speed 700 motor and another about the same size from a cordless Porter Cable drill. Don't need to be fancy. Just provide enough torque for rescue.
      Come to think of it, the old cordless drill motor is a bit larger than the Speed 700.
