    Curious as to what happened to the metal slots inside the stator? Did the split magnet take them out, I couldn't quite tell from the pictures... thanks.

      These motors have no stack of metal plates therefore I say it is a 2 pole motor not 4 if any claim of such was made.

        In the third pic it certainly appears that the end of the magnet that is more intact is a half circle, I would have to say you are correct, good observation.

          Correct Ray, they were 2 pole motors.
