Keith they are the same motor internally but yes it is 55mm - much like Neu's 1415 and 1515 internally are the same motors . shaving 1 mm off of a 56 mm motor is a very easy thing to do .

If it's 55,, with fins, they would have to shave off more than 1mm...maybe 5mm?
Thanks for the info though Peter. I wonder if they're going to start making these with the smooth cans again then.
