Brushless motor maintenance

This question might be to stupid for most of you guys but im new at this so here I go. Can I just run my Brushless Motor over and over without doing anything to it or is there something I should be doing every so often to keep it running good?

You should clean the brushes.

my adivce is to make sure you clean out the water cooling jacket, e.g. put some WD40 through your cooling pipes, because the aluminium water cooling cans can get some corrosion in them

That is a must do on every run especialy if you run on sea!

I was just about to comment on the "clean your brushes tip"? you said it was brushless. and thanks for asking. I am new to this as well and it never occurred to me about any maintenence on these motors
and have never read about wd40 to cooling lines for corrosion. Thanks for bringing this up. good to know. keep asking.... the more you ask the more I will learn!
BTW, what boat do you have?.... just curious

I took advice from forum members and use corrosion x on my tunnel, since when it capsized the motor gets wet. I don't do anything on my mono motors since they stay dry and I'm too lazy to pull them out...

i lube the bearings at the start and end of each day (get some sewing maching lube with a needle tip to make it easy).. also i am salt water so i flush my outboards with fresh water and spray the internials with corrosion block
