Ran the same motor in mine on 6s with no trouble. You might be a little aggressive on your prop selection. I was running a m440.

Yeah thats a huge difference in prop. Im going to be running similar RPM in my riversport cat and was planning on a m440...what were you running for esc with this setup blackcat?

To the OP: That is a lot of prop to push at that RPM, especially with a 125A esc. I bet that setup pulls a lot more current than you think. Once you get over 35,000RPM its hard to keep current spikes down.

yes, im running a 125 amp esc and checked my order and lucky me .......i ordered a x442, that should help this problem, my goals?.......im wanting to hit some high 50s with the boat and have some cooler temps, its just a play time hobby so im not racing, im just curious what i can push thru it and get the max out of it without damage. I want at least 5 minutes run times

Higher amp rated esc.

1512 1800kv+ T180 esc+ x442 prop will most definatley get you high 50's and run nice and cool on 6s IMO and from my experience with that exact setup in my apparition. I highly doubt the 125 will hold up though.
