Picking the right ESC

Got my 41" twin finaly up to speed ,running 6s ,2050 TP motors,180 A sea King with castle bank ,these ESC can't handle this much power they warm up and act up after 8-10 passes ,I would like a water proof ESC ,but I can seal one up ,don't need a logging ,looking at SF ,but do those need cap banks also? Recomendations please ,I just want to go fast ,thanks ,

What esc brand you used? How much amp esc you used? ' they warm up' , you mean not just esc got warmed, the motor and bank also got hot, right? pls give me the details thank you
As for swordfish esc, if esc is high voltage we recommend you use cap banks, such as, SF pro 240A esc, SF pro 300A esc, you're supposed to use cap banks. However one thing you need notice is that the voltage of cap bank must be equal or greater than esc's

I don't know the amp draw ,my ESC are 180 sea King ,one ESC gets warm and slows down or cuts off a little ,the motors are not hot ,ill try and time a run and calc the amp draw ,thanks for the info on the sword fish ,don't think I want to mess with those ,I'm gonna try the castle xl and water cool it ,

Did you notice you posted in the Swordfish forum? More info would be helpful. The T180's are normally pretty stout for their ratings. Lots of on/off throttle will heat them up too.

If you are running 2 seaking 180a v3 esc's you should add a cap bank to them like the turnigy brand one comes with. Also should probably use external bec's the integrated one creates unwanted heat you can add another cooling line to the heat sinks also

I have a castle cap bank on each ESC ,I think I'm just pushing them too hard ,

Since I don't need data logging,maybe the pro 220 with the castle bank ? TP 2050 motors ,

According to your motor's characteristic, P=300A*25V=7500 , If you choose swordfish ESC we recommend you use SF pro 240A-12S esc. as for the cap, which isn't necessary. If you choose to have it, that's good for your battery, ESC and motor. Hope the answer would help you. Thank you

The 220 will likely do it, but the 240's would be better as recommended above. However. The 240's are twice the physical size of a 220. I always like to use a cap bank in larger size boats. If I use the case one, I change the caps out to 1000uf 30v caps for under 6s applications.

I guess I'll drop the 500$ for 2 of those 240s. Plus a BEC ,costs a lot of $ to go fast :)

Why not just get appropriate motors or batteries? You'll spend ~$200 and will have a safe enjoyable setup, instead of your proposed "looks like I have to go get the boat again" setup. You CAN'T make that many (8-10) passes even with the larger SF240. Listen to what the other guys are saying. They are far more knowledge and have experience doing ALL of this.
