    Seaking/ T180a esc v Swordfish 200a

What would be the best choice esc between the above 2, going in a JAE 21 fe. to be run on 6s Leopard 3674-1900kv (short runs ), I realise the T180 is a big esc going in the tub but will mod the water inlets so as to fit ok. Thanks Martin.

I like the sea king because of the waterproofness of it. But its a very tight fit in a jae. I couldnt fit a t180 in my jae without modding it and the boat.

I'd like to see some pictures of 6s in a JAE21. Wouldn't mind doing it myself. I'm using a Leopard 3674 2650 kv on 4s with a Hydra 240 LV with extra caps. Motor and esc run cool as a cucumber, have to be careful with the batts though. Best battery so far is a G3 Hyperion 4s 5000 mah- runs the coolest and fastest. All fits in tub with no mods.

I mod the JAE tub when im building to make them deeper & wider hatch opening to suit what i need to get in so sizes of esc & batteries is not a problem. The same as i modded my JAE Mini Sprint & have leopard 2860 motor with 4s & 120a esc

morewattsnow what sort of speeds are you getting with the 3674 2650kv on 4s, is it much faster than the Aquacraft 2030kv motor that a lot use in the JAE.

I got the boat going late this fall and have not been able to GPS it. I just got a Garmin Forerunner 205 I hope to use in the spring, but since we have ice and snow here in New York it won't be 'til then. I hesitate to estimate because we're always wrong, usually on the high side. LOL. Sorry I'm not more help. However I would think the added kv would give more speed. 2650 on 4s calcs at about 39,000 rpm. I get about 4-5 minute runs EXCEPT with my Thunderpower G6 supposed 65c 4400 mah. That swelled up like a balloon at 4 minutes once, whereas the Hyperion 5000 and Nano-tech 4000 were ok. Not impressed with Thunderpower batteries.
