I have been trashed for saying this before but buy an amp, voltage and temperature monitoring device. This device is in inexpensive and will save you money in the long term. Also start with a small prop and cells at least 20% below the max for the ESC and motor and as Fluid stated do not believe everything you read or see on the internet, as some silly setups will result in a destroyed boat. There are experienced racers...not me...who can run hot setups, as they run the boat dry and know the limitations of certain equipment.

I got this new Turnigy Marine 180A, and once I started it very easily the esc got smoked. This was with 11XL and 4000mA 4S 25/45C. What is wrong or what do I do wrong?
