    Proboat 45A ESC & Dynamite 45A ESC.

    The back story.
At our club we run restricted classes of mono, rigger & sports hydro, using either the Proboat or Aquacraft 1500kv motor & the Proboat or Aquacraft 45A ESC. All on 4s.

I recently tried to buy a Proboat 45A ESC but could only find the replacement Dynamite version.
I didn't read the description properly because when it arrived I noticed that it is only rated to 3s voltage.
Physically it is exactly the same as the old Proboat version except for the darker blue colour, & the lipo/Ni-MH selector switch.

    The question.
Does anyone know if the internals have actually been changed to be rated to only 3s, or is it still really the same with just a change in labeling? Will it handle 4s?

Well after the racing finished today at the club I ran 8 laps at full throttle on 4s.
    No problem & no heat.

        That it is Ray.
Our club held a 2 day event this weekend. I entered in 9 out of the 10 classes. There were 5 on each day.
So the ESC in the restricted mono ran 3 heats plus a final today. Again, no problems.
I believe it is still built as a 4s ESC but labeled as a 3s max ESC.
But who knows. Maybe the next time I run it there might be smoke.
