OSE RAIDER 150A ESC is a great choice

I needed a sturdy ESC for a customer's P-Ltd Mono. I had seen the OSE Raider 150 in a fellow racer's P-Ltd Cat and that boat ripped. I ordered one for the build and I'm really impressed. While mass isn't an exact indicator, the ESC is heavy and feels SOLID in your hand. Sensible water cooling design.Comes with 6mm females pre-installed on the ESC and provides males for the motor. The optional programming box is super easy to use and has good selections. And now at $74.95 it's a BARGAIN

These are really good. Especially at that price. For limited they're plenty of speedo too.

I agree, I've been using one for sometime now with a 2200kv motor on 4s1p.

I have swapped out a T-180 in my Pursuit for the Raider 150. Motor is a TP 4050 2050kv, on 2P for a 10 lap race last week it began to I assume thermal before I got 5 laps in. By letting go the throttle it would reset and go back to full power but only for about half a lap, and repeat. It wasn't an lvc issue and it will do a 5 lap race ok. I find the caps get hot and I have added in an etti cap bank but it doesn't seem to make a lot of difference. Motor and esc temps are cool over 5 laps, but esc was warmer after the 10, which could be from the fets working more on and off. The t-180 never had an issue but I want it for another build. Timing is at 0*. Any ideas on why the apparent thermalling?
I have a raider in a whip 20 running a TP 3640 2250kv motor and everything runs cooler on bigger props in that than when that motor was in the Pursuit with a T-120, I am impressed with it in that boat.

They are Flycolor rebadged for OSE. The manual on OSE is a bad copy. Here is a better version: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...p?albumid=1389

There are 6 parts to the manual. It is also the manual for all the new Flycolor ESC's that look like the one's in the album. The older ones are the elongated ones. They also use a different program box too.

          Hope that helps.

Tony thanks for starting this thread. I personally tested these for about 4 months and also had some people test them prior to selling them. They tested wonderfully. I'm on my third batch of them and happy as hell. The defect rate is less than 2%. Which is right up there with the Seaking 180. The water cooling and wiring is much better than the Seakings. The QS6 connectors we use Im totally in love with. I switched all my packs over to them. They have the protective cover, but can still be wired in series without the extra y harness.

Im trying to work on putting together a 6s 200-240 amp control. That would cover a large portion of the racing and sport classes.

Oh yes please, something better than the SF220.

Steven, thanks for reporting the ESC's progress. Can you tell me if it has AFW, active free-wheeling mode built into the firmware?
