currently building a 46" prather with a surface drive setup running an octura 440. plan on running 8s2p with the castle 2028(800kv). my question is what esc would be best. this is simply meant to be a river boat that can aomewhat handle the chop at my local lake. any advice would be much apppreciated thank you.

For one thing a bigger prop is required. Like a 455 or bigger. A swordfish 240 or 300 would be perfect.

Keep the prop small and the 200 would work. Won't be very fast.

40-50 go with the 240. You have options then. You could go 10s on that motor too.Comment
