Turnigy Marine 120 VS Hobbyking 120 Boat ESC

gearing up to run two possibly three boats next year all would be spec power classes and 4s. Right now i have one proboat 60 and one of the Turnigy marine 120's. I really like the idea of having the boats run the same setup and it would be great to have three of the same ESC's. Much less confusing for programming and swapping gear if needed. Looking for reviews from people who have used both the Turnigy marine 120 and the Hobbyking 120

I run the top one in a PTSSHydro for lsh and it chugs along great. It's completely waterproof but its also heavier than the bottom one.

I run the bottom one in a df33 for spec P mono.

    Both run great.

They both have nice program boxes. Top one has timing increments 0,5,10,15,20,etc. Lower one has 0, 3.75, 7.5, 11.25, 15, 18.5, etc. Lower esc is discontinued but, there is a ver. 3 available from Steve or elsewhere.

I know it says they are available from Russia but HK Russia doesn't ship to USA that I know of. They won't ship to Canada.

I run the top one ( hobby king esc) as well in my spec Popeye hydro for 2 years and it seems to be bullet proof...the programming box never worked for me so it just runs on the factory defaults...for the money, cant go wrong...I also run the smaller 90 amp version in my Motley Crew..again, seems to be bulletproof.

They are actually a Flycolor ESC, rebadged for Hobby King.
Flycolor have a pretty good reputation through Europe.

I have a couple that I run in scale boats. Never raced one but they are a nice smooth ESC in the application that I use them for.
