if i want to disconnect the bec,, can i cut the red wire to the reciever or do i have to remove the pin ???????
also,, does the switch turn the esc on/off or does it turn the bec on/off ?????

Buy a short servo wire extension and remove the wire from it. That way you can remove the BEC function without modifying the esc wires. The switch does both turn the esc on as well as send power to the BEC/receiver. Without the BEC connected it of course just turns the esc on. If wanted you can remove the switch and just tie the wires together. Connecting the battery will turn it on/off.
