Ok so I have a bunch of new Castle ESCs that I acquired for the sake of data logging. Now 3 ESCs later (running them that is) I haven't had any luck retrieving data logs on one HV and two LV ESCs. I tried reloading the Castle software on the laptop but no difference, all I can see is a Castle data screen with no logs. Am I missing something here?? The Castle website is about 3 steps short of vague with sorting this out so any help would be appreciated. I'm betting it's something small I'm overlooking..................

Do you get this screen come up when you plug in?sorry about the sideways pic.
I had just clicked the logging bar (which is lit here) from the Castlelink screen which first came up when the ESC is properly plugged in. Any of those ESC's HV Don?Last edited by srislash; 04-02-2014, 12:11 AM.

Don, in Castle Link when the ESC is hooked up and powered go to the logging tab on the top menus and select. Make sure the items you are interested in logging are checked. I suggest logging at the highest frequency to get the best resolution.
Also, from that tab you click on the download data button and it should ask you to save the data or it will automatically open in Castle View.

I am at work and don't have the laptop with me but I haven't seen the logging tab option on that screen which now seems quite odd. I tried the repair/reinstall option last night which didn't do anything different. I'm thinking to delete the entire thing and redownload it. One ESC is an HV which I know requires at least a 4S pack hooked up since there's no BEC but the other 2 are LV's and I couldn't pull any data from any of them. I'll do the reinstall this afternoon and see what happens.Originally posted by srislash View Post

Hey T thanks for the reply. As previously posted the logging tab isn't there so something must be up with the original download. I'm going to delete the entire program off the laptop and redownload it when I get home.Originally posted by RaceMechaniX View PostDon, in Castle Link when the ESC is hooked up and powered go to the logging tab on the top menus and select. Hey Don, When you hook up the Castle link, do you get a prompt to upload the latest software version?? Also double check to make sure you have the proper ESC series selected.Mike Chirillo

Yes it is the very latest version. Like I posted earlier the data logging tab seems to be "missing" so I'm going to delete the entire program and re-download it.Originally posted by Chilli View PostHey Don, When you hook up the Castle link, do you get a prompt to upload the latest software version?? The only time I have not seen the logging option appear is on the older ESC's that do not have it. Let us know after the reinstall.

Well I deleted the Castle Link program in it's entirety, re-downloaded it and ta-da! there's the logging tab, everything works fine now.Originally posted by RaceMechaniX View PostThe only time I have not seen the logging option appear is on the older ESC's that do not have it. You can try calling Castle tech support at 913-390-6939 or e-mail support@castlecreations.com
Sometimes they are helpful.
Do you know if any other supplier will be handling Castle Boat ECS' being they are getting out of the business.

I have an Ice 240 and the Ice 2 HV 200. They have both worked pretty well so far.
