Well had a great day until my Ice 240 died on it's 3rd ever run. Running a CC1717 in a 41" mono on 6s2p with a x447 boat was running amazing then stopped. We had a nice current and boat drifted in after about 5 minutes stopped in the water. Picked up the boat and it had water in it. Found i lost a small bolt on the stinger even with loctite and it allowed water to come up the stuffing tube. Esc is dead, caps still popped on power up but nothing. Tried dis-abling the bec and still no go. So I put a repair order in, but curious on if this is gonna cost me much $$$. I never did a Castle repair before. If it's gonna cost me, I'll just spend the money on a Swordfish 240hv.

Depending on the price to repair will determine that. I'll run a swordfish esc any day of the week. If the 240hv is anything like the swordy 200 im sold!Originally posted by Boaterguy View PostA castle ESC is really nice, I would spend the money to repair it.

It was the 240 marine hydra iceOriginally posted by LarrysDrifter View PostDale, was it a Hydra Ice or the airplane version?
I bought it in march from tower the day they where released. I did the warranty form on castle and it said free but I would maybe once i send it in they may change that or what....Originally posted by G1ST View PostIs it still under warranty?
Castle charges a flat rate for repairs not covered by Warranty. You'll know what it's going to cost before you send it in.

More than likely it will be free if you included a receipt from Tower.Mini Cat Racing USA
