    JRS Innovations FE POWER STATION

    Hello All

To some of you this might seam like overkill, but I wanted to save my back as much as possible. I bought a 120 Amp Hour Deep Cycle trolling motor battery for my Charging set up I am gonna be using.

The Battery has a built in Handle but @ 60 lbs it is uncomfortable at best to lug it around.
The other thing I worry about is just the chance to short out the leads by accident.

So I have designed for my self a Battery enclosure that takes care of all of those problems.

It has 3 sets of 25 amp Banana Plugs, A Slo-Blow 30 AMP Fuse, A 30 AMP Toggle
& a Super Bright LED that can be seen in daylight.

I want to be able to use one charger, and maybe a second or third.

I can upgrade the switch and fuse to accommodate higher amperage draw of my charge but don't anticipate doing that.

Just thought I would get a feel if other FE racers would like something like this.

    Thanks
    Joe

        OK, I like it.

What about making it a 40 amp circuit? I'd like to be able to run a pair of Hyperion Duo's at full rate.

        How much are you thinking?

According to the Hyperion manual you will need 24 volts (two 12 volt Deepcycle batteries wired in series) to get maximum output of Duo charger. The new AC/DC 720i-NET3-AD charger requires one 12 volt deepcycle battery to get max charge rate, but this is a slightly weaker charger than the DUO.

That means you would need two of these with a jumper set of banana jacks to create the series circuit.......

                      Hello Joe

I have not come up with a price yet, or what will be included.
I Will sell you one as soon as I set that standard.

What do you want engraved on it.

                      Thanks
                      Joe

LOL "Scarduchi" I Like that name.....I am changing mine now, this week.

                        The Power Station specs are:
                        13 3/4" High
                        8 1/2" Deep
                        15 1/4" Wide
The unit by it self weighs 3 lbs.

With the friggin Battery it weighs 63 lbs......LOL

                        Thanks

Hmmm, got a similar setup on the bench at home as I have quite a few deep cycles from the boat. (The real boat that is ) so I decided to use them as opposed to a power supply. Only weighs #130 lbs and can deliver as much juice as any thing could ever demand. 200 amp hr 6 Volt Trojans (not the condoms) batteries.
