I wonder how your charger compares to others in regards to testing resistance. Something is off here. It would be easy to understand if you had ONE CELL that read that way, but you're getting consistent readings from multiple lipos right?
I have hundreds of cells from Revolectrix, and they are (and started) around 2mO or less. I've owned a number of Dinogy lipos and didn't have readings as high as yours either. I would assume that it's just a matter of calibration, but since you're getting sub 2mO readings from your Hyperion, it can't be that.
"Just in case"... I will be clear that I believe you're getting the readings you say you're getting, I'd just like to know why. My best guess is it has something to do with how your charger "reads" IR vs. the two chargers I have here. I don't know why it would favor one battery brand so much more than the others but I suppose it could.

While I appreciate the offer Keith, I really do. I am confident I have a very good handle on my equipment and racing program. Otherwise I wouldn't have posted.
I have made my living troubleshooting commercial equipment of all types for 30 years. There are few mysteries.
I'm not the first guy to be less than thrilled with the LNEs and imagine I'm not the first nor last to be less than thrilled with the Revos.
Hyperion has had their issues as well so I'm told. That's not been my experience. Doesn't mean they are the best either. That's why I continue to look, it is what it is.
When 5000 45c packs take you places you haven't been able to match with higher capacity and or C rated cells the problem is not with the chargers IR readings, and the temp gun confirms that.
When you have 12000 mah 65C in a heat racer and it falls on it's face after the third lap something is wrong with the power supply. Go back to 10,000mah 45C all else being equal and run a 23 sec. 1/3rd and a 18 sec.1/4 two lap you don't have to be a genius to figure that out. A detective would call that a clue.
I'm not a sponsored racer, not a salesman, I've got no axes to grind. I'm just a guy that has been around the course a time or two and is looking for, and willing to pay for the best battery available. I'm glad you're convinced you've found them.

Well, I have taken readings from icharger and powerlab chargers, results are the same. Hundreds of Revo 70C cells, none are even 3mO, never mind the 7mO you're getting from your equipment. Last year I tested Dinogy and Hyperion 45C and found an average of 2.6mO with the Hyperion cells and 1.8mO with Dinogy cells. I'll be the first to admit that the Dinogys degraded quickly, but my results still don't reflect what yours measured new.
At our last records event in Flint, I did 6+ laps around the 1/3 mile course with a GPS in the boat that read 101mph when I returned, and there were plenty of people there that saw me do it...I had a total of 8000mah in the boat. The lipos came in at 3.7v/cell and were definitely warmer than they get during shorter runs but there was no "falling on it's face" by any means.
I'm surprised you're not the least bit curious to find out why our results are so different. You're plugging in the red wire to the red wire, and the black to the black, right?

PS: I'm not convinced that I've found the best batteries...these are just the best batteries I have found. There is a difference.

The Cats with Dinogys that are quick to degrade are clearly faster on the west coast than anything that we've seen on this side of the states.

Take it easy Doug. I'm trying to be friendly...no need for the defensive attitude. I apologize if I unknowingly offended you, it wasn't my intention. You asked for input in regards to the IR readings others are getting, and you expressed concern about the numbers you're posting. My posts were in made in the spirit of helping.
A number of people have tested Hyperion/Dinogy/Revolectrix lipos as well as many others, and I can't find any results that reflect your experience. If I were in your position I would wonder why everyone else got a different product than I did. But, of course I'm not and you've stated your position...that's fine--> moving on.

Ok this is what I found.I am sure I will get beat up for this but here goes. On average about 1,800 --2,000 rpm more than my Thunder Powers...46,500rpm and is more than I have ever seen. Voltage drop was one volt less and ripple about 1.8 max for what ever thats worth. Batteries warmed to 90* as I always do with lake about perfect as always. Yep. I picked up 6 mph too. I know someone who picked up 8 but he wasn't running a high dollar battery. For the money, you CANNOT beat these. I just got some used ones from kieth. I was a little concerned at first cause a cell was low and they didnt want to charge all the way up to 4.2 I went ahead and ran them. Can't say any thing about speed as I testing props. What I will say is sag was less then any of my other packs. The ripple was much less too, not sure what that means but that's what It showed

Good info guys...I can't say too much from now as running riggers there are different factors that lead to improved speed but there is no doubt that the Revo's are doing their job for some of us.Thanks GillGO FAST AND TURN RIGHT !
