might wanna take a read in this thread JayOriginally posted by Fluid View PostCheap Chinese packs are always a risk. Yesterday a club member replaced his old 5000mAh/25C ThunderPower packs with brand new Turnigy Nanos. The TPs were several years old and while they still worked he wanted "fresh packs". He ran his 10S catamaran for two minutes with the TP packs and brought it in - everything was fine, no heat. He put in the Nanos and after 90 seconds.....see below. This is the second time in two years I've seen the Nanos do the same thing - and only a few club members run them.

talks about the expensive chines packs and how well they don't hold up to amp loads

so far the under rated "25C" Gens ace 4s packs I own seem to be the best bang for the buck
I have on order some Giant Power packs that I will be selling soon

I dont think ive ever encountered anything as confusing or frustrating as lipo batteries. And the more I read the worse it gets. It does not matter what brand of battery it is I can find comments from people who love them and comments from those who hate them. The manufactures for the most part dont seem to be very honest when it comes to the claims they make about their packs. People will run tests of various kinds to compare different brands and then there is an onslaught of comments from people claiming the results are useless because the tests were flawed. Its enough to drive a person bonkers. One thing I have noticed though in most of the posts I read on numerous sites people will either brag about how they abuse the daylights out of a particular brand and not have a problem or they will caim they did everything by the book and the batteries failed.Something doesnt add up. Seems to be too many variables in their use to put too much weight in most of the info thats out there.IMO

You keep saying that but haven't offered ANY proof of any kind that Haiyin and HK packs are the same. You too need to stop your crap.Mini Cat Racing USA

You're right! That's why I don't go get a bunch of test equipment and go crazy! The only testing I do is in use and when I have good luck with a brand of batteries or bad luck for that matter, I share it.
NOTHING in life is perfect. Some people have never had a problem with a Ford....like me but I have never owned a GM that didn't give me trouble. Others would say the same but in reverse.
You can get a lemon in anything, including a brand new Rolls Royce I imagine. The important thing is whether or not the dealer will stand behind their product and repair or replace if it fails and then try to be sure it doesn't happen again.

I cannot imagine how much cash I would have in my hobby room if all my Lipos were so called expensive "name brand" packs
maybe this is why I am able to afford my Trex Aerial Photography setup with Prime lenses and XLR audio for film production, by running lower priced packs

I need to grab some 5s 5000mah packs. How are the zippy opposed to turnigy nano. Not sure which to buy. All my current packs are sky, but I don't think hobbypartZ even gets anymore. They never have them in stock anymore

Good Gawd what a mess. I read this entire thread to get an idea of the best packs for my setup and now I'm more confused than when I started reading.
Anybody running the Scorpion 2s 6600 65c Competition packs sold by Haiyin ? I was wanting these to run in series for 4s in my Black Jack 29. Only 270 grams. Are they good packs ?
