Can't Decide Between Batterys

So I need an 3s battery and it must be at most 139mm long (without wires), and have the most mAh's as possible. This will be going in a AQ wildcat with a Tacon 3650 2230kv motor (stock 50amp esc).
I am looking at the venom 4000mah 20c ( http://www.greathobbies.com/producti...rod_id=VEN1580 ) and the venom 5400mah 20c, ( http://www.greathobbies.com/producti...rod_id=VEN1581 ) and TGH 5000mah 35c ( http://www.greathobbies.com/producti...d=TGHL50003C35 )
Money is an HUGE factor here, and I am worried that the Venom batterys are crap.

They're fantastic for the money a few different guys have held conditions the same and run cars/boats to determine which packs are closest to claimed ratings, provide good punch, etc. Gens ace packs always do well and in the SHORT TERM tests conducted they aren't far behind the most expensive packs out there. I have owned a pair of gens ace packs and a lot of zippys. Zippy packs are good but hobbypartz has free shipping (need to spend a certain amt forgot the value) so you don't incur the huge shipping charge for lipos from hong kong. When I first got my first fe boat I used it well....pretty much every day for 3 months and my gens ace packs never gave me a problem, until I over discharged them and they puffed (totally my fault, LVC wasn't dialed in). Get yourself soft packs by the way, easier to inspect for signs that the cells are becoming damaged. Remember you're buying cheap lipos if you're not buying dinogy or thunder power so you'll never get the same support if you run into a problem.

I had a Sky blue Lipo from Hobbypartz that was good until I took it down to far. Good batts if you play NICE with them :)

All lipo batteries are sensitive to over discharge, correct?
No matter what you spend on them, they will all fail quickly if you over discharge them. Ive used Turnagy, and Zippy. I have had a few years on them, but I'm also careful with them. ans store them at 3.6V / cell.
I agree about the hard pack / soft pack. I was just trying to find the highest energy density batteries that would fit.

Some packs are more forgiving than others. True one should take as best care as possible, but sometimes stuff happens...

Many people with MUCH experience have shared stories about going lower than you should with no noticeable affect on the packs. Then you have your cheaper batteries where a drop of water and .1V below and POOF they puff up.

I wont buy another Turnigy/ Hobby King battery again ever period. I spent more money on these cheap batteries and replacing them every year than If I jsut buy the good battery that will last 3-4 years.

I have very good experience with Sky lipo. I have used 2s, 3s, and most recently 4s. They are all 5000mah, 30c or 40c.
I like them because they are easy on my wallet and are certainly not junk. If I race, then perhaps I will look into higher end batteries.

yes you need to be careful with discharging any battery. When I put my packs on my charger I never like seeing anything below 3.65V now voltage drops under load so I don't like feeding the motors with something below that resting. Might check out the sky blue lipo from hobbypartz would be easier on the wallet than the 4 gens ace 6s 5300 mah 60c packs I wanted.

+1 on the SkyLipo's.I have others that are three times the price but all,including the Sky's are holding up well.
