      Yes, that does sound wrong. Either your charger is shutting off early, or there is a problem with the cells. High power cells will have less internal resistance and thus dump their energy faster than low-performance cells will, that explains the difference between the Turnigy and TP cells. But you should be able to put at least 4000 mAh back in once they hit the LVC - unless the LVC is set too high. What is the LVC voltage by the way? What is the resting voltage after they dump? If you can't put back in all the charge, then they will not run long before they hit the LVC. If they are actually fully charged and dump after only one minute of running, then you are drawing over 260 amps average - the motor and ESC would be smoking hot.

      I just don't understand this since I never over discharge my lipo ( always with 25% capacity in reserve after each run )
      If you can't put more than 1000-2000 mAh back in, how can you say you are leaving 25% in reserve? Take Kevin's advice and call TP.

        I wish I was more thorough then, did not take note of the resting voltage.
        My LVC is at factory setting ( 3.2v/cell) and it doesn't cut in early . My chargers ( Duratrax Ice) don't have problems with other packs.
        Motor and ESC never exceeded 110*
        I was refering to my Skylipo and Turnigy packs which I can put back 4000 mAh without any trouble.
        I began noticing my TP having trouble when I noticed I couldn't put back more than 1000-2000 mAh while at the same time it hits LVC way too soon.
        I will call them after Thanksgiving, I just assumed that there would be no customer support for this kind of issue, have to say that I am really impressed with their policy.

              Thunder Power are AMONG the best out there in my opinion, others may even outperform them in some areas, but the warranty alone makes up the difference to me. The 4th batt I sent had crash damage from a car, they're replacing it at 50%, which they will also do with basically any batt you send them in any condition.

                  I bet the Dinogy 6000mah cells would make a verygood LSH battery. I would like to see Voltage under load and sustaining graphs of the 6000 vs. 5000.

                    I know I puffed my new Grimracer 4200mah 4s pack during a 6 lap LSH heat race (Whiplash, ul1 motor/esc, slightly cupped m445). Boat slowed down noticably as laps narrowed down. Packs had 30% capacity remaining after run.

                    So I figure more mah would be LOTS better. More voltage is your friend.

                        OK I just got a pair of brand new TP 6S 5000's and as useual the cells are out of whack. 3.76-3.86-3.94 3.75-3.94-3.86. One would think they would all be perfect from the factory.

                            3.76 to 3.94 is not good but after a few cycles it may get better. Keep an eye on it when you charge and if it doesn't get better I would send them in. TP is usually very good about taking care of there customer if they think it's the batteries fault. If those were my packs I would be sending you new ones.
                            For those wanting to try the 6000s I have 4s and 2s comming on my next order in a few weeks. I don't have any graphs comparing 6000 to 5000s though.

                              I've been running only TPs in my boats for over 5 years now. I think the quality of the battery has slowly gotten worse even though I've always broken them in before use. I have 5000/65 batteries that will puff in my Spec Hydro and in my 1/10 scale. When they puff, it's only about 1/8". There is no way these batteries should puff in a 1/10 scale. Even though these batteries cost a lot, their warranty more than makes up for it. My TPs are always pre-heated before running. So right now I have 10 45c's that are slightly puffed, and 9 65c's that are all slightly puffed. The sad part is, I have 3 packs for each boat, so the cells do not get charged during race day. Yes, I have sent them back several times. At the start of this race season, I began running Mark's cells - a way better price - and I went to 12 races (this spring and summer) without any puffing at all. And, Mark's batteries are almost identical in size as the TPs. I'm going to slowing fade out the TPs and run nothing but Mark's batteries.

                                I would like to find a 4400mah 6s 65c from Dinogy to replace the Thunder powers. Do they make them? Nothing on sites.
