    lipo charging rate question

I have heard a few different things. Is this true?

You must select the charge rate current that does not to exceed 1C (one times the capacity of the battery). A higher setting may cause fire.
    Example:
1900 mAh: Charge below 1.9 Amps
2100 mAh: Charge below 2.1 Amps
7800 mAh: Charge below 7.8 Amps
8000 mAh: Charge below at 8 Amps

But I have also heard that you can go higher (charge CAP) if the battery is a "quality" battery.

    I have a Gensace 5300mah 35c. 2s,3s and 4s batts, With a Venom dual 10a charger.
So is it true that I can only charge 5a max,on my Gensace?? and should not use the full 10a of my charger??

    thanks

Yeah pretty much, Depends tho, as in, I charge my 4000MH 4S packs at 1.5amps to 2 amps and havent had any problems with any of my packs ive had
the amount of mah you loose by having the pack stored away for a week is like 20mah on a 4000 mah pack so i dont really mind if it takes a while to charge them

genace CLAIM you can charge at 5C, i would never charge a pack above 2.5/3C i have charged great hobbies 1000mah packs at 3 amps.
with your pack you could use the full 10A available at your charger, i would not reccomend charging above 1C for the first few cycles.
