    Anti Spark brigde

I know theres been many threads on anti spark but i just have a quick question.

Can I just solder a resistor right in-between two bullets? No wire? i.e. bullet soldered to resistor soldered to second bullet.. to make a bridge to charge up the caps.

    Just wondering Thanks

you musn't have the resistor between your battery and ESC all the time.
You must use an auxiliary wire and two extra smaller connectors to connect the (andti-spark) resistor.
Then connect the main connectors, and after that you can disconnect the auxiliary.

why will the bridge not work always?

Current will go through the main wires, since it always goes where there's the least resistance.

you will blow the resistor with the current going through it, you can solder just a bridge between one wire, connect the two reds, and wait 5 seconds, then connects the blacks, or just solder a separate circuit and disconnect after the caps are charged.

ok im sorry i have no idea what your talking about.. im a visual person i cant even picture wat your saying sorry. Heres how ive been doing it. connect the black esc to black batt, then connect red esc to other batts red. then bridge the red to black from batt to batt with the anti spark bridge.. thats even confusing for me to follow my own words.. that works fine and ive done 4-5 times with nothing wrong

That is wrong sorry. You are not supposed to connect the bridge across red & black. Either use the Black or red side.

Connect one side either pos+ or Neg- then, the other lead you connect a resistor to and connect the other end of the resistor to the plug it is suopposed go to originally.

The resistor will be in the line of one lead. after it is connected that way for 10 seconds or so, while the resistor bridge is still connected, connect the last lead and then remove the rsistor.

              You should get no spark.

i just didnt want to have to do any soldering.. or use up my last few bullets. I know its lazy and ineffecient but i mean it works? 2011-06-23_18-09-06_446.jpg

Thats basically what I do. All I did different was solder it in-line and heat shrink it for safety. Easy Peasy!

please take a look at what MGM says: http://mgm-compro.com/pdf/en-antispark-d230808.pdf
very detailed with pictures to see.

does this corrupt the auto detect on an ESC?

on some ESCs too big a resistor can cause miscalculation of the lipo cell, if the auto detect lipo cell nr. setting is used.
