so as you know i just got my 32 pursuit upgraded (180a esc and 2000kv Leopard) when i was running the stock prop i had no problems.... now when i run the big prop (m645) i start to melt solder connections at the plugs (using traxxas bat conn and the stock motor bullets)..I dont think the traxxas connectors are capable of the draw.... i use them because all my cars and trucks have traxxas conns.... i wan to my local hobby boutique and they recomended 5mm bullets for the motor and ec5 connectors for by batt conn will this work seamlessly?????????
Diesel....I need your help???? Connector questions....

EC5's can work on your battery connections. I prefer 5.5mm bullets on my battery connections as well, but you have to be super careful with them, it's easy to short a battery out with the bullet connectors on the batteries. The ec5's would be an upgrade over traxxas connections and be safer so you don't short the batteries out. On my motor/esc connections I am currently using Castle 6.5mm bullets. If your LHS has castle 6.5mm bullets I would grab a pack of those and the ec5's. Hopefully that information helps.
Sorry for the delay in responding to this, just noticed the thread.

I would recommend holding on to those 5mm bullets for later use. I like to update my rtr stock motors/esc's (miss geico, motley crew ect) with 5.5mm bullets so those 5mm you grabbed would be nice for something like that, but for that leopard you have I think the 6.5mm would be more reliable in the long run.Originally posted by Frazzo420 View PostI grabbed a bunch of the ec5 conns and ordered a set of 5mm bullets do u think the 5mm bullets will b enough or should I go with the castle 6.5??? The motor wires aren't that big?? Are they?? Again I have a seaking 180a and a 4074 2000 kv.
I have the tacon version of that motor you have 4074 2000kv and I am currently running HK 6mm bullets on it and on the leopard 4074 2200kv CC 6.5mm on it.
