        Pekka go to: http://scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/lipo.html

At the bottom of the page there is a section that will show you how to wire 2x 2S packs in series.

Jim: I don't think he meant to be rude, it might have a been a language issue, just sayin'

Sorry. I didn't mean to be rude, but I was asking about charging in series, not parallel and everybody suddenly starts explaining parallel charging

So the first wire in balancing plug is negative of the first cell of pack 1. 2nd wire is positive of cell 1. and negative of cell 2. third wire is positive of cell 2. and negative of cell 3. etc?
So the first wire of pack 2 balancing plug should be connected to the last wire of balancing plug of pack 2? So if this is correct it is quite easy to make suitable adapter if there is no adapters for sale anywhere. I have seen adapters for serial charging 2x3S pacs, but not for 2x2S pacs.

I don't see any point why this would be any more dangerous than charging normal 4S packs. Charger can see every cell and can monitor their voltage and balance those correctly. Not going to blow up, I'm sure.

Pretty much, did you see the diagrams on the scrypt asylum page? That has everything you need, you can print them out when building the adapter.

I used these adapters on HK: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9910

I've modified it like the attached pictures, just make sure you double and triple check the diagram on scrypt asylum on how to connect them: cut one wire and connect the one battery main positive lead with the red wire and the other battery main negative lead with the ground.

I've balanced all my 2S batteries this way as 4S @ 5A and never had problems, of course I always checked the packs before to make sure they had a similar residual charge in them. Also I never mix different capacity or C rate batteries.

Parallel charging is probably considered safer because it's harder to make mistakes when connecting the packs. The cell voltage balance itself out across the batteries and you can also parallel charge packs with different capacity (within reason).

As always be safe with lipo!

The site is down but I think this will explain the saftey aspect of Parellel charging

Ok very new to this I just ordered the cables you recomended but question i have is now do i put 4cell into charger at 7.4 volts or to i leave it on 2 cell
Shouldnt the balancing plug be 2 2c into a 4c so all cells are ballanced

leave it at 2 cell and if you have to put a number in for the MAH of the batteries you would double that number

As i understand it i will use these cables and my settings will be
                            7.4v 2c 10600 mah
                            thanks in advance

I am still confused on how the parrallel cable will balance all 4 cells when it only sees 2

this will do it for you look two connectors attach to the batteries the one connector on the other end goes to the charger
