Miss Geico mods. Should I use rx pack?

I'm going to try and run 5s on MG and later on put in a T-180 to runs 6s. Can someone please explain why I should disable the bec and use an rx pack? I'm new at this and don't quite get it yet...............

something like it adds more stress to the esc, the bec doesn't like that much input voltage. for some reason you can get funky things happening with your radio... Thats about it..

I have no experience with that esc but from what I understand the regulator can't handle the voltage, not sure if it's a switching regulator or something like a 7806.
I'm not sure if the swordfish 200 has the same issue.

running a seperate bec also allows the esc to operate a little cooler

anything over 4S, disable the BEC and run an onboard receiver pack!
