K.I.S.S. (keep it simple) I have gone to 8mm exclusively for all boats that use 5000ma and larger batteries, regardless of the configuration. They aren't that much larger, and can give you all the battery will provide without getting warm. You don't even want 'warm' - that is just potential motor energy that was turned into wasted heat energy. Why chance it - for a few grams less weight? No way.

Yeah i have gone Neutronics 8mm with everything i have...to make sure i dont screw up when plugging in i have simply added a yellow piece of heat shrink to the 1 side of + and - of each pack, to make double sure of no errors...

The standard convention for wiring batteries is to put the FEMALE bullet on the positive (+) lead and the male on the negative (-).

Easy way to remember is: "RED HOT FEMALE"
