    Will an IOTA 90 amp supply run 2 Hyperion DUO 3 chargers together?

    Wanting to know if an IOTA 90amp Power supply will run 2 hyperion DUO3 chargers. Both running in SYNC charging mode with 2 5000mah 6s 45c packs on each each charger..

    I am using the G3-EX5000-6SS Packs. I want to

    Just trying to get a good setup together so i don't sit around charging batteries for the rest of my life.

    Power supply 90 amps X 12 volts = 1080 watts


    6S X 4.2 volts = 25.2 volts per pack

    Assuming you are charging at 1 C rate

    25.2 volts X 5 amps (5000 mah packs) = 126 watts

    you say 2 packs per charger and 2 chargers so

    126 watts X 4 = 504 watts total

    With some losses for heat etc yes I think the 90 amp is lots big

          These are safe to charge at 5c so what if i charge them at 2 or 3? this supply should still be good, right?

            I said 90 amps at 12 volts on the power supply
            Is it a 12 volt or 13 or 14 volt ?
            If it is rated at 90 amps and it is more than 12 volts you will have a few more watts you can use

            BUT

            If you charge at 2C you will double the amp draw and watts over all and that will be close or over what this supply can do

            Your cells might be able to charge at 5C but they are large 6S packs
            How many watts is the charger you have rated for for the total of the 2 sides added together ??

              Looking around and doing some research.Seems like being patient and charging at 1c is the smart thing to do.

              How long will it take to charge from cutoff voltage? I'm still learning, thanks for the help.

                I have their 55 amp supply. I run multiple chargers off it all the time. The price at http://www.evolveelectrics.com/Iota.html isn't that great. I paid $145 for mine but don't remember where.

                  Depending on how low your cutoff voltage is it should take around an hour give or take to charge with a good charger
