mine is a hopper..... i tried strut all strut angles, cog forward - back.... hop, hop, hop...
tried reducing power to 2S and still hops. it starts at about 10mph. where is your rudder fred? mine is in front of the prop, i think i am going to change the leading edge of the rudder to the back edge of the prop... do you have trim tabs? how big are they? that is next. i was disapointed in the 1st run but i know these micro's need proper set up and i just need to find it.

Not a surprise, the boat was designed to weigh quite a bit more. You need to settle the hull into the water - raise the strut by 1/8" - keep it flat - and try again. Also, add about 6-8 ounces of weight to the boat at the CG. You have exceeded the hull speed with your current setup.

Motor is brushed Tower Speed secret at 40,000 rpm set at TDC timing.

Unless you want to burn the trailing edges of your commutator plates, I'd recommend using about 1/8" of timing advance.
