Keep in mind that the CofG will change as will the Turn fin location...Originally posted by Diegoboy View PostWhen I first read this thread, I was going to make the suggestion, till I kept reading and saw the pic of the booms installed. If it's not too late, I'd doi it! It should make the boat handle like a much bigger boat, w/o the weight.

I'm not sure how to manipulate the COG in a rigger, especially one this small. There is no room to adjust anything.Originally posted by HOTWATER View PostKeep in mind that the CofG will change as will the Turn fin location..."A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."

I have decided not to change a thing. Smart huh. This is my first rigger and I am not a boat expert. I will just build it as is and enjoy it. Maybe down the line I can experiment.

Good call Alvin! I'm sure you will be happy with the way it turns out....
Those props in the pics will work absolutely PERFECT!........................NOT!!! LOL!!! They probably weigh as much as the boat itself!!! Too funny!!

Danny/Kent, do I need to seal the inside of the hull at all? If so, how? With what?
Thanks,
Alvin
Can yall post pics of the inside of yalls for me?

Hey Alvin!
I did not seal mine with anything, I just put a nice bead of foam safe CA on all the joints. I used a small dab of GE sillicone II (GOOOD STUFF!) on all the hardware screws and also around the booms, outside of the tub and sponsons after it was all painted and ready to be put together. Epoxy would work there but it turns yellow after a while and does nothing more than sillicone does as for as sealing up any place that the water will try to get in.
I think Danny will probably have a better shot of the inside of his tub...but here is what I have on hand for you...Attached Files

Ahh, HAAA...You are sharp! That is exactly what it is (w/ my pistix sitting on top of it)!!! You can use whatever you like though (hopefully at least in the FM range). Do you have an ESC for your rigger yet?

Absolutely! I have this high dollar Fasst system over here, but that is not going in this boat. No antenna for me. I am positively hooked on these Tactic units. I have 2 fasst receivers sitting on the workbench, but I have ordered another Tactic receiver for this little bugger. No antenna is such a wonderful thing. Especially in a boat.Originally posted by HOTWATER View PostAhh, HAAA...You are sharp! That is exactly what it is (w/ my pistix sitting on top of it)!!! BTW I should have all of my parts to finish it by wed. Only 1 little problem. It might get put on hold if I get my baby Revo tomorrow.

Hi Danny!
I already know what you're getting at...I use a Futaba 3PM and did not know it at the time (and have not tried it yet) but yes, I should be able to dial out the TX to the Phoenix 25 ESC without using the pistix....LOL!
How'd I do reading your mind?!
And the Winning Lottery numbers are....
