    Proper spacing.

With out getting into to much detail on my current build, what should be recommeded space from end of stinger drive to front edge of drive dog. I thought it is 1/4". For deflection on 1/4" flex drive shaft. Thanks

General rule of thumb is to space out the same thickness of the cable you're using. I find it has more to do with the power output of the motors, the length of the cable being used, and how much axial play your motor shaft has. Longer cables can wind up and shrink more than shorter cables. I tend to leave about 3-4mm of gap on my setups.

And I second Ryan’s sentiment. If the cable. Is quite short, such as a rear mounted motor mono, you need very little gap. I leave a little room up at the collet so I can close up the gap on the performance setups.
