O-ring type cowl hatch?

Who uses these? Curious if they work. I see advantage in quick access to the boat interior.

I use them, but when I have a well-taped sub-hatch.

They are used mostly by gas and nitro boaters to hold on the hatch, they don’t have to worry about water entering their hull.
