    HPR cats.

    Hi guys.

Received a HPR 135 cat hull yesterday.
    Ordered a CFK/AFK version.

Shouldnt it be black and yellow mesh on the inside like MHZs mystic c5000 CFK/AFK?

    And another question..
Is it normal for these hulls to have light shining thrue them in the front were the sponsons and top decks underside meets?

I can see a "tear-like" hole in the fibers, where light shines thrue easy.
The hole is about 3-4mm wide and 30mm long. Not clear see thrue, but more of a milkycream white/very fainted yellow.
But still Hard and solid like the rest of the hull.

See link for a image of it. 🙂
    Cheers - Frank

HPR has a new owner and the hulls are no longer made by Hanspeter himself. I cannot speak to the quality of the new hulls as I've only ever seen the older originals up close, including my own. I would be worried about the light you see coming through the seam. Definitely worth sharing with HPR to see what their response is.

Just got a reply from Roli at HPR.

He tells me, this is where the boat is assembled, that's called man's seam. Unfortunately, man does not come so well there. But it has no influence on the stability.

But I am still concerned about it.
Quite alot of money going to the bottom if it cracks were its weak!
      Cheers - Frank

I would discuss it with Kent(nata2run) and see what his thoughts are. He builds the new HPR hulls. I too can only speak of the old hulls.
You can PM him here or thru his website at http://www.customcfparts.com/
