    Motor Mount Suggestion

I'm new to the FE world, as I'm getting closer to completing my 1/10 scale U-3 Hydroplane. I have a question about motor mounts. I initially will be running a Tenshock Viper 2260 10T 1600kv motor, I realize that it doesn't meet NAMBA guidelines, however will be running it for fun before I decide on whether or not I will race it. The motor is an odd 38mm diameter. My question is whether a 36/40mm motor mount will work. It is 60mm long and has 25mm spacing between mounting holes. Any motor mount suggestions would be great.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Thanks, yes 25mm bolt pattern, thought about that one, wasn't sure whether or not it was strong enough.

I think 25 mm bolt pattern is common. You could get one of the blue ones ose sells or get a 40 mm and use something to shim it with. 1mm shim stock maybe. I run a mount similar in my 22 hydro on 4s and at first a fiego motor. Mount was fine, hull didn’t like the power. Just put a piece of c/f over it or fiberglass.

I've had 40x82 motors on that mount with more 68 mph flips than I care to mention...didn't skip a beat! It's damn strong.
